The Parasite Hunters
Case
In October, Colombia and the rest of the world celebrate Halloween, making it a major event. The film industry embraces this trend, going all out with horror themes during the month. That’s why it releases its biggest premieres now—it’s the month of the dead!
Industry data shows that 34% of Colombians will spend up to $200,000 on Halloween costumes, and seven out of ten will take part in some Halloween celebration. Plus, according to a Fenalco survey, two out of three pets in Colombia will be dressed up as well. That’s why we’ve adapted our version of Ghostbusters to ‘Parasite Busters’—to tackle the fear of fleas, ticks, and mites with NexGard.
Objective
To educate pet owners about the risks that fleas, ticks, and mites pose to their pets while connecting the product to their needs.
Solution
We launched the “Parasite Hunters” campaign, offering an alternate perspective on the fears surrounding flea, tick, and mite infestations in pets, which will be addressed by certified parasite hunters.
Execution
We created a launch image that introduced the concept and provided context for the story behind the campaign. Next, we released four videos featuring The Parasite Hunters in various situations, both indoors and outdoors, to educate pet owners about the risks of rapid parasite reproduction. We emphasized the importance of breaking the cycle, even if their pets don’t go outside often. Additionally, we hosted a contest called “NexGard or Trick,” inviting pet owners nationwide to submit videos of their pets showing off their best tricks. The national winner received a kit filled with products and goodies for their pet, while the winner from Bogotá got a dose of the product along with a training session.
